Ritual
I used the ground as a canvas and drew with charcoal and fire.
This work could not be completed by a single person. The viewers became active participants, contributing to the growth of a small flame that gradually expanded through collective effort. As the fire moved across the surface, it transformed the drawing in ways that no individual could fully control.
I am interested in how a shared action can generate something larger than the sum of its parts. The flames eventually faded and returned to the ground, but the traces they left behind remained as evidence of a brief moment when many individuals acted together to create a single work.
